Compost This is the Cadillac of organic materials. Its beneficial microorganisms go to work immediately to transform even the poorest soils, adding valuable time-released nutrients and organic matter. Use compost liberally throughout your yard. Use 3”-6” of compost tilled into existing soil to achieve 50/50 mixture. Topdress lawn areas with as much as ½” annually to add organic material to turf areas.
Turkey Compost A blend of turkey manure, turkey feathers, peanut hulls, rice hulls and other fine organic products. Produces
Texas Green Sand (Glauconite) an iron potassium silicate that is naturally deposited in the sea. Is an excellent source of potash, iron, and trace minerals. It is best used with other fertilizers and will show immediate results. Application rates are from 20-40 lbs. per 1000 square feet. Contains approximately 20% iron.
Lava Sand A naturally occurring volcanic cinder, which is sized to 1/8” minus and has a porous structure, which makes the material lightweight and highly moisture retentive. It will absorb up to 40 % of its weight in water. Lava Sand has a paramagnetic characteristic with the ability to temporarily align electron spins in the presence of a magnetic field. Application rates are from 20-120 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
Tru-Grow Expanded Shale Used in landscape mixes around horticultural plantings, absorbs moisture and soluble nutrients and extends the time nutrients are retained in the plant root zone. Can also be used for children’s play areas, some driveways and walkways….etc.
Professional Bedding Soil Blended from our finest materials including Compost, Pine Bark and Fine Sand. A ready to use soil mix, ideal for new flowerbed construction or to build up existing beds. Since Pro Bedding Soil has been formulated as a planting medium, one need only add a slow release fertilizer in order to plant any outdoor plant. Pro bedding soil has excellent drainage, good mechanical properties and will not compact.
Mixed Soil with Compost A blend of sandy loam with 45% compost screened to remove stones and debris. Excellent for filling in low areas in the lawn, top dressing existing turf areas, or preparing areas prior to grass seeding, hydromulching, or sod installation.
Azalea Soil A blend of professional bedding soil, organic compost and hardwood.
Rose Soil A combination of quality soil, composted organics and soil.
Cedar Mulch A native Texas recycled product. Better looking than Cypress. Holds original color longer. Ground cedar mulch smells good, will not float. Reported to repel insects. Decomposes slowly. Apply 3” layer as needed for weed suppression, aesthetics, moisture retention, and temperature moderation. One of the finest mulches on the market!
Fine Shredded Hardwood Mulch Due to its unique interlocking fibers, shredded hardwood bark will not wash or float away like pine bark mulch. Outstanding in appearance, it does an excellent job of suppressing weeds, moderating soil temperatures and retaining moisture in the soil. Mulch more heavily in summer and winter for maximum plant protection. Apply 3” to all exposed soil.
Red Mulch Suppresses weed growth, long lasting color, and moderates soil moisture and temperature,
Kiddie Cushion Playground surfacing made from random sized hardwood species. Use in depths from 6-10 inches in all fall zone areas depending on the height of playground equipment.
